SNOW PLOWS
ARTIC QUIK LINK II COMMERCIAL STEEL BLADE COMPLETE WITH CONTROL BOX
$4500 installed taxes inc.
The commercial steel blade is a heavy duty version of the standard steel blade. The blade skin is made with 10 gauge hot rolled steel, and is reinforced with 7 vertical ribs into one structural unit. The blade curvature and height allow for excellent snow roll and handling. The "Snow-Roll" design minimizes over the top snow loss without the need for a deflector. For a finish, the blade skin is shot blasted and coated with our ARCTIC orange powder finish for maximum adhesion. Our extra large dish shaped skid shoes give good clearance while plowing and won't snag when back dragging. The hardened steel cutting edge is a centre hole pattern and is fully reversible. The quadrant and A-frame assembly joins the blade with three 3/4" open pins, which makes for no seizing of the pins, and easy replacement if broken. This blade assembly uses four tension springs to keep the blade upright and allows for the addition of a shock absorber kit if needed. The plow has a full 30 degree angle to the left and right, through our 1½" x 10" power angle cylinders.
Quik-Link II
The one piece removable mount brings your truck to its original look. Without removing the plow, slip the small jack stand into the lift frame. Crank the leg down to take the plow weight, pull the two upper pins, unplug lights and controls and back away. If you wish to drop only the plow, you don't need to use the jack, but rather pull the 2 lower pins, unhook the lift chain and the angling hoses. The plow lift frame stays on the truck. To re-install reverse either of these two procedures.

Control Box
|
|
|
The
standard control box with its two rocker switches, one for up and down, and
one for right and left, has been proven to be very reliable after its many
years of use. It is usually bolted to a mounting bracket that is in turn
bolted to the lower left hand side of the dash.

Touch Pad
|
|
|
The touch pad is about the size of a cigarette pack, and allows for instantaneous touch of the finger response. The touchpad can be held in the operators hand or mounted by way of a Velcro strip. The pad allows for angling the plow while in the float position. |
Joy Stick
|
|
The newest addition is a joy stick mounted to a stainless steel window mount bracket, which is placed in the window glass opening on the driver side door. This allows for the control to be at the operators left hand, and if the door is opened, the controller swings out of the way with the door. The stick allows for angling of the plow while in the float position. A mini joy stick control is also available. |
Plow Partner
The Arctic plow partner has been around since the early 1970's, helping contractors do residential driveways, with timesaving ease and efficiency, and commercial contractors get in those hard to get at places.
Our new concept in attaching the plow partner to the 2"x 2" trailer hitch of the vehicle has worked very well. We have also given this plow its own power unit, that is mounted to the plow lift frame, meaning there is no piggy backing off another plow pump for pressure. The plow partner has a two button pendant control in the cab, with battery and control wire hookup at the rear. The pressure up and down makes for responsive action
